# Numerology Fundamentals

First of all, your date of birth, the month and the year should be accurately known. In this site, your date of birth is called the Corporal Number. It means it is your physical (body) number. From 10 onwards we have double digital numbers. They should be added together to arrive at the Corporal Number. In case somebody is born on the 13th day of the month, we must add 1 + 3 and thus we get number 4 as his Corporal Number. In the case of a person born on 29th we get the number 11. It should be combined further and reduced to the single digit (1 + 1) 2 two.

Next: We must calculate the Vital Number (or life number). This is arrived at by adding the date of birth, the number of the month and the year. For example, Gandhiji was born on 2.10.1869. Therefore his Vital Number is 2 + 1 + 0 + 1 + 8 + 6 + 9 = 27. 2 + 7 = 9 nine.

Suppose a person was born on 12.5.1946, his Corporal Number is (1 + 2) three. His Vital Number is (1 + 2 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 4 + 6 = 28, 2 + 8 = 10) ten. So this person will be under the influence of Jupiter and the Sun. He must refer to the section entitled Corporal Number 3 and Vital Number 1 to understand his characteristics and instincts; his actions and habits; the risks he faces; and the remedial measures to be adopted.

A word of caution. When calculation is made according to the Tamil almanac astrologers count from 6 a.m. of each day to 6 a.m. of the next day (sun rise) as one day.

But the English pattern is different. According to it, each new day begins at 12 midnight. Remember we ring in the New Year (January first) at midnight of thirty first December itself. This is applicable to Numerology.

Suppose a person was born at five minutes after 12 midnight on 31st of a month (or the last day), his day of birth should be deemed as the first day of the next month. It means his Corporal Number is not (3 + 1) 4 but 1. Otherwise one error may lead to many.

In a nutshell:

• Corppral Number = date of birth
• Vital Number = date of birth + number of the month + the year of birth.

### From Bhagwat Gita

"They Who perform their work offering all results to me, who hold their hearts and minds steadfast in me in whatever they do, who worship their work, to them I offer the platform. Doubt it not that they will inexorably reach the top. "
